Can Music Help With Certain Types of Sleep Disorders?

- Image via Wikipedia
Sleep disorders don’t just cause drowsiness, there are other risks which can be life threatening and some which can be simply annoying. There are several types of sleep disorders to consider:
- Insomnia
- Sleep Apnea
- Restless Legs Syndrome
- Narcolepsy
Depending on the person and your situation these sleep disorders can be mild to extreme. For the purpose of this post we are going to focus on the milder cases, most of which can be caused from time change, jet-leg,stress from work, worry etc.
For any situation which involves loss of sleep please consult your physician should it persist.
Recently one of our friends mentioned he had been doing an abnormal amount of work related travel. Up until two weeks ago this was causing him loss of sleep due to different time zone changes.
During one of his flights he had the opportunity to read a magazine article, from one of the popular Men’s health publishers, which mentioned lack of sleep for travelers.
Apparently the article mentioned the use of healing music as a prescription to help your body relax and your brain be soothed into a slight meditative state. The article went on to say during a recent study of 20 travelers the effects of music assisting in improving sleep patterns was amazingly successful.
After reading the article he decided to give it a try therefore he bought the healing music we talk about and found an instant benefit on his first night using this method. So far he has been using this method for a week and already he has an improved sleeping pattern.
Until our friend,Roy, mentioned this, and he only did so because he knew of our interest in the healing music niche, we never thought about healing music being helpful with types of sleep disorders. This is something you would expect medication would be the sole solution – not so.
Thanks for sharing Roy!

Can You Paint with Healing Music?
A few days ago my wife enlisted my help in painting our bathroom. Anyone who knows me understands I really don’t like to paint or wallpaper. It is like watching glue dry I can’t stand it.
With my current physical limitations due to a spine injury years back, there are not many tasks I can do, as well chronic pain limits my abilities. Just the same she thought I would be able to handle painting the bottom half of two small walls.
Considering everything she does for me and our family I didn’t want to let her down so I decided to help out as best I could.
Painting With Music
I started out painting where possible, after all it wasn’t more than two small walls. Once into the work intense chronic pain worsened and so did my patience. At that point I stopped the project momentarily and retrieved my ipod on which I had uploaded Mark Romeros Music.
As I listened to Mark Romero Music my patience improved – the chronic pain was still present and interferring but suddenly with my patience level improving all there was to deal with was the pain which is a day to day challenge anyways.
There are several strategies you can incorporate into your day through the use of healing music which will enhance your daily lifestyle allowing you to live a life of great abundance.
Take a listen to the music we recommend by clicking the link below and under each image you will notice a play button which allows you to listen to samples of Mark Romero Music.
We hope you are having a relaxing day.

How Has H1N1 Flu Affected Your Mental Health?
As you are aware H1N1 flu has been one of the top stories in the news over the past several months.
Recently we have been hearing of vaccine shortages and an increase in H1N1 confirmed cases – we have even been exposed to news of young people dying of this particular flu strand.
All of this influx of information is starting to take its toll on our mental state of mind. In my family we have 4 children and 3 grandchildren to be concerned about – when you can’t control whether your loved one becomes infected with the H1N1 virus or not, it can be very trying on your patience level.
For months I have been writing of the uses of healing music and relaxation music techniques but recently I have lost myself in the stress of everyday life.
It was just in the past few days I was reminded of the importance of healing music in unusual circumstances such as the current pandemic.
What Happens If We Are Healthy and Over-Stressed?
Even though you may currently have good health, being over-stressed about the current events can take its toll by breaking down your immune system.
Over the past few days we are hearing more stories of health care workers being overwhelmed by the increasing concerns and drastically increasing crowds at clinics and/or hospitals.
I have been asked to provide samples of healing music to a department within our health care system as a way to help combat stress of the events unfolding in our communities. the technique they want to use is to provide a relaxing atmosphere during staff breaks and lunches.
This is a great idea for our front line health care workers who are under staffed and over worked.
You need to take this one step further – why not use healing music in your office, home and even car to help you become more centered and relaxed – this is a musical antidote to help ward off damage to your body as a result of stress, whether it be stress from H1N1 pandemic or everyday life stressors.
There are several different styles of healing music you can listen to that could be categorized as a musical antidote – one particular artist I know is Mark Romero – he has his own unique style of music which can transform you from being anxious or over stressed to relaxed and centered within minutes.
Take a look for yourself and notice the play buttons below the images which give you an excellent sampling of his music. Click here!
